Colorado Anti-Violence Program: - www.coavp.org - Since 1986 the Colorado Anti-Violence Program has been dedicated to eliminating violence within and against the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) communities in Colorado, and providing the highest quality services to survivors. CAVP provides direct client services including crisis intervention, information, and referrals for LGBT victims of violence 24 hours a day.

Women’s Law Initiative - www.womenslaw.org - The Women's Law Initiative is a national organization that provides online legal information and resources for victims of domestic violence. The web site includes information and resources on how to obtain restraining orders in all 50 states. This site also gives instructions on filing and obtaining restraining orders, links to "downloadable" court forms, legal statutes, listings of courthouses and sheriff's offices and more. This site also includes information on developing a safety plan, safety tips for leaving abusive
relationships and phone numbers for counseling services, shelters and legal assistance around the country.
