AH sponsors three support groups per week for adult, female survivors - two offered in English and the other is multi-lingual. These groups offer support, encourage individuation by the participants, explain the power and control dynamics of domestic violence, and empower the participants to take charge of their own lives. This service began in 1986 and the Spanish groups were added in 2000.
In 2008, AH expanded its support/therapy group services to include children who have witnessed or experienced family violence.
