Multi-Cultural Outreach to Underserved Communities: To improve accessibility of AH services to the underserved communities, the organization has a paid staff member who is bilingual and bicultural. She provides education, translation, assistance with documentation, advocacy, information and referrals and crisis intervention. This service began in 1997 serving the Latino/Hispanic community and expanded in 2005 and again in 2008 to increase services to all the underserved communities.
Community Education: AH facilitates general educational presentations within the community, with specific prevention curriculums to Middle School through College aged youth. AH also provides Workplace Violence Presentations to employers.
